Partnership with The Babcock & Wilcox Company – B&W

In 2005, HPB signed a technology licensing agreement with the American company The Babcock & Wilcox Company – B&W – for the supply of Steam Generators for the combustion of solid, liquid, and gaseous fuels, with emphasis on Fluidized Bed combustion systems, both Bubbling and Circulating.

The partnership gradually became closer, marked by the transfer of B&W’s extensive knowledge to HPB and by the extension of the license to other technologies.

Currently, the agreement has expanded to include environmental control technologies, such as the Electrostatic Precipitator, and Chemical Recovery Boilers for the Pulp and Paper market.

Additionally, the Water-Cooled Vibrating Grate was incorporated from Babcock & Wilcox A/S, Denmark, developed especially for biomass-to-energy conversion.
